Quand y aller? / When to go?
Visitez Beheloka à tout moment de l’année. La
chaleur y est omniprésente. Munissez-vous d’un
chapeau pour éviter les coups de soleil.
Visit Beheloka at any time of the year. The heat is
pervasive. Wear a hat to prevent sunburn.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
On peut rejoindre Beheloka de deux manières. soit
y aller jusqu’au village de saint Augustin où se
trouve un bac qui relie saint Augustin à Soalara, le
bac peut prendre jusqu'à 6 voitures, une fois arrivé
à Soalara, on se dirige vers le sud en passant par
Anakao, Ankilimivony, Befasy avant d’arriver à
Beheloka. Au total il faut compter 3 heures de route.
Si le bac ne fonctionne pas, Beheloka se rejoint par
un énorme détour, près de 250 km en passant par
Andranovory, Betioky et ensuite Beheloka.
Beheloka can be reached in two ways. Either go to
Saint Augustine village where there is a ferry that
connects St. Augustine to Soalara; the ferry can take
up to 6 cars, once arrived in Soalara, head south via
Anakao, Ankilimivony , Befasy, before arriving at
Beheloka. In total it takes 3 hours. If the ferry does
not work, Beheloka is reached by a huge detour,
nearly 250 km, through Andranovory, Betioky and
Beheloka.
Où se loger? / Where to stay?
Il n’y a pas d’hôtel à Beheloka, que des petits
restaurants locaux où on aime manger du poisson
grillé ou sauté, pour dormir il faut aller à Ambola qui
se trouve à 20km au sud, juste en face de l’entrée
au parc de Tsimanampetsotsa. Un endroit très
agréable avec une très belle plage, il y a quelques
hôtels et le plus apprécié le domaine d’Ambola.
There is no hotel in Beheloka, only small local
restaurants where one likes to eat grilled or
sauteed fish. In order to sleep, go to Ambola
which is 20km south, right in front of the
entrance to Tsimanampetsotsa Park. A very nice
place with a very nice beach, there are a few
hotels and the most popular area of ​Ambola.
Où manger? / Where to eat?
Pour manger, le mieux est de rejoindre les
restaurants à Toliara, comme le BLU pour
manger des plats traditionnels, ses grillages au
feu de bois, ses pizzas, ses spécialités fruits
de mer sans oublier sa carte spéciale pour
végétariens.
To eat, it’s best to get to the restaurants in Toliara,
such as BLU, to eat traditional dishes, its woodfired
bbq foods, pizzas, seafood specialities , not
to mention its special menu for vegetarians.
Que voir? / What to see?
Aux environs de Beheloka le parc naturel de
tsimanampetsotsa est à une quinzaine de
kilomètre de là. C’est une réserve naturelle
protégée qui mérite une attention particulière.
Vous allez y rencontrer 72 espèces d’oiseaux
endémiques. Au nord, n’oublier pas de passer à
Anakao, un beau village de pécheur aux voiles
multicolores qui embellit la plage.
In the vicinity of Beheloka the Natural Park of
Tsimanampetsotsa is about fifteen kilometres
away. It is a protected nature reserve that
deserves special attention. You will meet 72
species of endemic birds. North, do not forget
to go to Anakao, a beautiful fishing village with
multi-coloured sails that beautify the beach.
