Les meilleurs mois pour visiter le site Andranosoa
sont les mois de février à novembre. Ce sont les
périodes pendant lesquelles le soleil est au rendezvous
et les précipitations moins importantes.

which the sun is there and rainfall less significant.

Le trajet Antananarivo-Andranosoa est réalisable
en voiture en dépit des imperfections routières.
Vous pourrez également y parvenir par voie
aérienne. Prenez un vol direct vers Tuléar et
finissez le voyage en voiture.
The route Antananarivo-Andranosoa is possible
by car despite road imperfections. You can also
get there by air. Take a direct flight to Tulear and
finish the journey by car.
Où se loger? / Where to stay?
Le « Relais de la Reine » et le « Jardin du Roy » sont
deux hôtels voisins. Ils possèdent des bungalows
en grès aux décorations très soignées. Ce sont des
petits coins de paradis localisés à 12 kilomètres du
centre de Ranohira. A quelques minutes de village
de Ranohira, l’hôtel « Les étoiles de l’Isalo » dispose
aussi de bungalows confortables et d’une piscine.
A seulement 1 kilomètre du musée d’Isalo, l’ « Isalo
Rock Lodge » est un bel hôtel traditionnel très élégant.

The "Relais de la Reine" and the "Jardin du Roy"
are two neighbouring hotels. They have sandstone
bungalows which are very well decorated. These
are small corners of paradise located 12 kilometres
from the centre of Ranohira. A few minutes from
the village of Ranohira, the hotel "The Stars of Isalo"
also has comfortable bungalows and a swimming
pool. Only 1 kilometre from the Isalo Museum, Isalo
Rock Lodge is a beautiful and elegant traditional
hotel. Catering service available at any time.
Que voir? / What to see?
Ne passez dans cette partie sud de Madagascar
sans faire escale au surprenant Parc national
d’Isalo. C’est un parcours plutôt sportif mais
gratifié de belles récompenses. Vous y trouverez
des canyons taillés par l’érosion comme le canyon
des singes et des rats qui abrite une magnifique
cascade d’eau turquoise. Il y a également le canyon
Namaza avec sa mystérieuse cascade Nymphes, sa
« piscine noire », ses lémuriens, ses lézards et ses
oiseaux. Plusieurs endroits du parc offrent des vues
panoramiques sur sa végétation luxuriante, sa faune
et flore endémiques. Terminez par un coucher de
soleil à la « Fenêtre de l’Isalo », une ouverture dans la
roche taillée… en forme de fenêtre.
Do not pass through this southern part of
Madagascar without stopping at the surprising
Isalo National Park. It is a rather sporty journey but
blessed with beautiful rewards. You will find canyons
carved by erosion like the canyon of monkeys
and rats which shelters a magnificent waterfall of
turquoise water. There is also the Namaza Canyon
with its mysterious Nymphes waterfall, its "black
pool", its lemurs, its lizards and its birds. Several
areas of the park offer panoramic views of its lush
vegetation and endemic flora and fauna. Finish with
a sunset at the "Window of Isalo", an opening in the
carved rock ... shaped like a window.
