6.4.2.1 Policy Provision
Figure 6.4 depicts the policy provision UCs considered in WINMAN.
WINMAN
operator
(from actors)
• Provide policies UC. The purpose of providing policies at the summary
level is to allow the WINMAN operator to add/modify/execute/delete a
policy in/from the WINMAN system.
• Provide policy report UC. This UC at the user level creates reports
regarding the policies that exist in the system. The nature of the reports
is generic, ranging from simple statistics to presentation of more complex
policy-related data at summary level.
• Add policies and remove policies UCs. The purpose of these UCs at the
user level is to install a new policy in the WINMAN system, leaving it
ready to be activated, or to remove it from the repository, respectively.
• Modify policies UC. The WINMAN operator modifies an existing policy,
at user level.
