Summary<br />

Understanding how to employ multimodal pain management<br />

strategies for hernia surgery patients will help to ensure a good perioperative<br />

experience and may decrease the potential for chronic pain long<br />

term. Use <strong>of</strong> these strategies is an imperative for responsible surgeons<br />

performing these common operations.<br />
