Materials & methods. To evaluate <strong>the</strong> transcriptive activity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> histone<br />

H3 gene in lymph nodes, a total <strong>of</strong> 47 patients diagnosed with Non-<br />

Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) participated in <strong>the</strong> study: 23 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m were<br />

diagnosed with <strong>the</strong> aggressive lymphoma (15 with Diffuse Large B-Cell<br />

Lymphoma 'DLBCL and 8 patients diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma<br />

-MCL, 24 patients diagnosed with low-grade NHL. The control<br />

group consisted <strong>of</strong> 7 persons diagnosed with a non-neoplastic lymphadenitis.<br />

The QRT-PCR method was employed to assess <strong>the</strong> activity<br />

<strong>of</strong> histone H3 gene. Results. A statistically significant higher activity <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> histone H3 was found in high-grade NHL when compared with <strong>the</strong><br />

indolent lymphomas (p
