Bear<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>se po<strong>in</strong>ts <strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d, <strong>in</strong> our work we should:<br />
- Ensure that special attention is paid <strong>to</strong> vulnerable groups, especially <strong>in</strong> <strong>emergency</strong> <strong>situations</strong>;<br />
- Carry out activities that contribute <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> recognition, underst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> respect of International<br />
Humanitarian Law;<br />
- Ensure that a disaster response strategy address<strong>in</strong>g <strong>water</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>sanitation</strong> needs is <strong>in</strong> place <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
countries <strong>in</strong> which we work;<br />
- Provide technical support <strong>to</strong> States <strong>in</strong> sett<strong>in</strong>g up disaster response strategies;<br />
- Contribute <strong>to</strong> a better def<strong>in</strong>ition of obligations of ac<strong>to</strong>rs o<strong>the</strong>r than States <strong>in</strong> respect of <strong>the</strong> <strong>human</strong><br />
<strong>right</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>water</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>situations</strong> of <strong>emergency</strong>.<br />
