ALA staff for yourMembership meetings on
Saturday, June 26 from 3:30-5:00p.m. and/or
Monday, June 28 from 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m. This is
the time made available for you to interact with
ALA directly.
One of the highlights of our annual conference is
The Stacks (aka the Exhibit Hall). I thank the
exhibitors for coming to ALA to share the “latest
and greatest” in materials, resources, and authors.
Take time to join us at the Exhibits Ribbon Cutting
Ceremony in the Exhibit Hall, Friday, June 25 at
5:15p.m. This year, we will end the exhibits with
a Closing Reception on Monday, June 28, noon to
4:00p.m. Within The Stacks, we offer the Exhibits
Pavilion with areas like the Cookbook Pavilion,
the Gaming Pavilion, and the Graphic Novels
Pavilion to name a few.
Because we are in our nation’s capitol, I invite you
to end your great conference experience by joining
us at the Library Advocacy Rally at the Upper
Senate Park on the U.S. Capitol grounds Tuesday,
June 29 at 11:00a.m. After the rally, we encourage
you to join others from your respective states to
meet with your elected officials and their staff in
their Capitol Hill offices.
