The first in a series of ongoing research efforts,<br />

the study, conducted by an independent research<br />

firm, is based on an extensive survey of nearly<br />

500 exhibit managers <strong>and</strong> executives at companies<br />

that supply exhibit displays <strong>and</strong> accessories. It was<br />

funded by Hall-Erickson Exposition Management,<br />

Inc., Champion Nationwide Contractor, eco-systems<br />

sustainable exhibits, EXHIBITOR magazine,<br />

Freeman, <strong>and</strong> Skyline.<br />

<strong>ALA</strong> GREEN EXHIBIT CHECKLIST<br />

Attendees of the <strong>2010</strong> American Library Association<br />

<strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> have made a concerted effort<br />

to participate in a “green” meeting that makes a<br />

minimal environmental impact. <strong>Exhibit</strong>ing<br />

companies that have joined <strong>ALA</strong> in their efforts to<br />

promote a “green” meeting have been identified<br />

with a “green” icon. <strong>Exhibit</strong>ors identified as<br />

promoting Green Practices will also be identified<br />

on-site in Washington with a “green” sign for their<br />

booth.
