focuses on the essential literacy skills adolescents<br />

must learn <strong>and</strong> master in order to succeed in high<br />

school <strong>and</strong> advance to college. The authors<br />

articulate their vision of literacy for all, offer<br />

recommendations for improving instruction, issue<br />

a call to action to ensure that all students receive<br />

the support they to succeed in school <strong>and</strong> society.<br />
