Speakers will discuss Asian/Pacific American
activism through grassroots organizing using
strategies such as political participation, media,
creative writing, and other forms of mobilization
to address different societal issues. This includes
public/cultural institutions and spaces such as
libraries, social policies, education, and public
services. In particular they will share their
experiences in forming coalitions and social
movements at the local and international level
with people with different backgrounds of class,
race, and gender.
