Families are turning to their local library for many<br />

things during these challenging times <strong>and</strong> librarians<br />

are responding by planning programs <strong>and</strong> services<br />

tailored to community needs. Librarians will<br />

present models for innovative programs unique to<br />

the communities they serve. From San Francisco’s<br />

project to provide citizenship information on line<br />

<strong>and</strong> King County Library System’s “Look to Your<br />

Library in Hard Times” project to GED (General<br />

Equivalency Diploma) testing at the Atlanta-Fulton<br />

Public Library System <strong>and</strong> Sew Divine, a group that<br />

grew into a community centered program at the<br />

Richl<strong>and</strong> county Public Library System.<br />
