Creating Value for Your Library
Communities

This program creates a theme-based framework
for librarians to think about creating value for
their library communities in the context of
delivering exemplary services, programs, and
resources to further the educational mission of
their institution. Creating value will be highlighted
against an environmental scan consisting of a
composite library SWOT analysis. This program will
demonstrate strategies and solutions in each of
the following themes – commitment to institutional
effectiveness, assessment, and staff development;
productive partnerships and building relationships;
strategic planning and information technology;
public relations, marketing and fund raising; and
