The Unexcused Absence of America’s Upper Classes
From Military Service and How It Hurts Our
Country, and How Free People Move Mountains,
with Frank Schaeffer and on her work as founder
of Blue Star Families. She has been featured on
the Today Show, CNN, and other venues. Through
Blue Star Families, she works closely with the
White House, Pentagon, major philanthropies and
corporations to bridge the gap between civilian
communities and military families. An author
