Discovering MORE (Michigan Online
Resources for Educators) in MeL

Michigan Online Resources for Educators (MORE)
is an ongoing project of the Library of Michigan
and the Michigan Department of Education. The
MORE portal at http://more.mel.org uses the
Collection Workflow Integration System (open
source). MORE provides Websites that are aligned
to and searchable by Michigan’s Grade Level and
High School Content Expectations as contained in
Michigan’s Curriculum Framework. Thinkfinity
resources were added to MORE, offering
standards-based, grade-specific, lesson plans,
online interactive tools, and reference materials.
MORE content has been collected, tagged and
easily shared, allowing other states, regardless of
budget restrictions, to develop a resource portal
aligned to standards.
