Children’s literature can be used to engage and
energize library staff to think more creatively,
work more collaboratively, and build a positive
work environment. Creativity helps us proactively
manage change. Activities based on specific
elements in children’s literature can assist staff
to think divergently and solve problems and
challenges in innovative ways. Participants will
learn definitions and essential concepts of
creativity and why it is important in the workplace.
Emphasis will be on process, tips, and ideas that
can be applied in the library environment.
Participants will also discover how to avoid
creativity blocks.
