International Leadership: The U.S.
- China Librarian Collaboration

As the world is becoming more globalized, it is
critical that librarians find effective ways to
collaborate. The Think Globally Act Globally project,
funded by the US Institute of Museum & Library
Services and the Chinese Ministry of Culture,
carried out by a partnership between the University
of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the Chinese American
Librarians Association and the Library Society of
China, aims at promoting collaboration and
exchange between librarians in US and China. This
program features this innovative project between
the two countries, which could serve as a model
for librarians in other parts of the world.
