As the world is becoming more globalized, it is<br />

critical that librarians find effective ways to<br />

collaborate. The Think Globally Act Globally project,<br />

funded by the US Institute of Museum & Library<br />

Services <strong>and</strong> the Chinese Ministry of Culture,<br />

carried out by a partnership between the University<br />

of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the Chinese American<br />

Librarians Association <strong>and</strong> the Library Society of<br />

China, aims at promoting collaboration <strong>and</strong><br />

exchange between librarians in US <strong>and</strong> China. This<br />

program features this innovative project between<br />

the two countries, which could serve as a model<br />

for librarians in other parts of the world.<br />
