Cuando una pareja de Hartford buscan ayuda
con un psiquiatra en 1960, las cosas dan
un giro fuera de control. Parejas en terapia,
individualmente y en grupos, que resultan en
terapias de 24 horas. Sus cuatro hijos sufren y
acabo son asignados sus propios psiquiatras.
Son recetados pastillas y las personas institucionalizadas.
When a Hartford couple turns to psychiatry
for help with their marriage in 1960, things
slowly spiral out of control. Couples counseling,
individual and group therapy and 24-hour
marathon sessions ensue. Their four children
suffer and are given their own psychiatrists. Pills
are prescribed and people are institutionalized.

Han pasado dos años y medio desde que
Ella dijo que quería ser cineasta. Esta a
punto de cumplir cuatro años y su padre cineasta
le ha regalado una cámara de video
para su cumpleaños. Beginning Filmmaking
nos muestra a lo largo de un año los intentos
de enseñarle a una preescolar como rodar
una película. Ella asume el desafio, pero en
sus propios términos.
It has been two and a half years since Ella
said she wanted to be a filmmaker. Now she is
turning four and her filmmaker dad has given
her a video camera for her birthday. Beginning
Filmmaking takes us through one year of trying
to teach a preschooler how to make a film. Ella
rises to the challenge but on her own terms.

Sanaa, Yemen. Sola en su habitación, Malaak,
una joven yemenita intenta por un dialogo
con el director de expresar el conflicto interno
entre su deseo de vivir y las limitaciones
de su sociedad. Todos sus sueños están enfocados
fuera de la ventana donde la libertad
parece ser, quizás en Canadá, el país donde
desea ir. Pero una enfermedad grave nos
llevara al Cairo, derrocando sus proyectos y
situando su sitio en el mundo.
Sanaa, Yemen. Lonely in her room, Malaak,
a young yemeni woman tries by a dialogue
with the director to express the conflict that
sets inside her between her desire to live and
the constraints of her society. All her dreams
are focused outside the window where the
freedom seems to be, maybe in Canada, the
country where she hopes to go. But a serious
illness will drive us to Cairo, overthrowing her
projets and resituating her place in the world.

El pueblo húngaro de Medgyesbodzás se esta
hundiendo lentamente y sus habitantes están
desconcertados. El pueblo recibe muy poca
asistencia de las autoridades locales, entonces
piden ayuda a la Unión Europea. Cuando
entregan su petición de ayuda a la Unión Europea,
pueden entregar un cortometraje donde
Jószef y otros del pueblo pueden contar su
historia. La televisión húngara transmite la situación
del pueblo. Algunos culpan a las compañías
de petróleo, otros a la planta de tratamiento
de agua, y otros a la tierra misma.
The Hungarian village of Medgyesbodzás is slowly
sinking, and the inhabitants are baffled. The village
receives very little help from national authorities,
so they turn to the European Union. When they
file a request for EU assistance, Jószef can submit
a short film in which he and the other villagers
tell their story. Hungarian television broadcasts
the situation of the village. Some people accuse
the oil companies, others the waterworks, and still
others blame the soil itself.

border between east and west. The village
decides to challenge the European Union, only

una nueva vida. Spanish for Adults es un
retrato nostálgico y gracioso de gente que todavía
cree que pase lo que pase es necesario
seguir soñando.
Spanish for Adults takes a warm and serene
look at a Spanish language class for adult
immigrants. A small classroom in the town
of Huesca is the meeting point and a shelter
for those who came to Spain driven by the
European dream of starting a new life. Spanish
for Adults is a nostalgic and funny portrait of
people who still believe that whatever happens
it is necessary to keep on dreaming.
