Unday es ese día que nunca debió existir
entre un padre y un hijo, ese día en que ambos
dejan atrás el cariño y la comprensión
en busca de su propio beneficio, de su propia
felicidad. El día en que un padre olvida
que es padre y un hijo empieza a olvidar a su
padre. El día en que todos los rencores, los
miedos y las verdades salen a la luz cuando
ya no hay nada que perder. El día a partir del
cual ya nada volverá a ser lo mismo.
Unday is that day that should never exist
between father and son, that day in which both
leave behind the affection and comprehension
in search of their own benefit, of their own
happiness. The day that a father forgets he is
a father and a son begins to forget his father.
The day in which all grudges, fears and truth
come out when there is nothing else left to
loose. The day from which nothing will ever be
the same.

Es hora punta en la cocina del Paradise Café
en Los Angeles. Gallo, un cocinero mexicano
sin papeles, intenta hacer una heroica renuncia,
con la que espera recuperar lo que
queda de su juventud, su dignidad y hasta
ganarse el amor de una esquiva mesera. Pero
las cosas no son lo que parecen en el Paradise
Café, donde la línea entre la ficción y la
realidad es tan delgada como la que separa
al Norte del Sur.
It’s peak hour in the kitchen of the Paradise
Café in Los Angeles. Gallo, an illegal Mexican
cook, tries to make a heroic resignation, hoping
to recover what is left of his youth, his dignity
and even win the love of the aloof waitress he
is after. However, things are not as they appear
at the Paradise Café, where the line between
fiction and reality is as thin as the one that
divides the North from the South.

Después de la partida de su marido, Ana,
una mujer de unos cincuenta años, cae en
una depresión. Un día decide retomar su vida
y reencontrar el deseo sexual. Empieza un
proceso de cambio hasta encontrarse con su
nueva sexualidad.
After being left by her husband, Ana, a woman
in her 50s, becomes depressed. One day she
decides to take charge of her life and to recover
her sexual desires. She begins a process of
change till she comes to term with her new
found sexuality.

Chico, hombre de 60 años, pierde a su mujer
en un accidente de pesca. Desde entonces
camina por la playa buscando algún rastro
de ella, acumulando los distintos objetos que
el mar arroja. En sus recorridos cotidianos
encuentra un cangrejo al que adopta como
mascota y que es, en cierta forma, una metáfora
de sí mismo.
Chico, a 60 year old man, lost his wife in a
fishing accident. Since then he has been
walking the beach in search of traces of his
wife, gathering all the different items that the
sea has been throwing. During his daily walks
he finds a crab he adopts as a pet, and that in
some way is a metaphor of himself.
