Madeline Bernstorff es una filmcurator, escritora, investigadora, y profesora. Vive
en Berlín, Alemania. Co-editora de Kabul/Teheran 1979ff; Trinh T. Minh-ha. Filme,
Texte, Gespräche; Women in drag/Crossdressing in Film. Es miembro del comité
de programación del Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Oberhausen y del
Festival de Cine de Europa del Este en Cottbus. En la actualidad está trabajando en
un programa de cine sobre las primeras películas (Anti-)Sufragistas para el Festival
Il cinema ritrovato de Bolonia, Italia y para un programa de cine acompañando la
exposición, In the Desert of Modernity, sobre arquitectura, modernismo, colonialismo
y migración, en la Berlin’s House of theWorld Cultures. El tema de sus clases gira
alrededor del documental y sus límites.
Madeleine Bernstorff is a filmcurator, writer, researcher, and teacher, based in Berlin,
Germany. Co-editor of Kabul/Teheran 1979ff; Trinh T. Minh-ha. Filme, Texte, Gespräche;
Women in drag/Crossdressing in Film. She is a member of the programming
committee of the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen and the festival of
eastern european film in Cottbus. She is currently working on a film program about
early (Anti-)Suffragette films for the festival Il cinema ritrovato in Bologna, Italy and
for a film program accompagnying the exhibition, In the Desert of Modernity, about
architecture, modernism, colonialism and migration in Berlin’s House of theWorld
Cultures. Her teachings are about documentary film and it’s boundaries.
