5.7.4.2 Time course scan reading<br />

Scale & units:<br />

1. Press Scale & Units in the Options menu.<br />

2. Highlight Abs or %T as the required units.<br />

Standard Operations<br />

3. Highlight Auto or Manual scaling on the graph´s y-axis.<br />

Note: If manual scaling is selected, use the alphanumeric keypad to set the<br />

limits y min. and y max.. The graph is adjusted to display only the values in the<br />

selected range. If automatic scaling is selected, the instrument sets the<br />

limits automatically so that the total range can be displayed.<br />

4. Press OK to confirm.<br />

5. Press Return to return to the scan mode.<br />

After the parameters have been selected, the instrument must be<br />

blanked, then the sample can be analyzed.<br />

1. Insert the blank cuvette/cell into the cuvette/sample cell holder.<br />

Press Zero. The blank reading is shown on the display.<br />

2. Insert the sample cuvette/cell into the cuvette/sample cell<br />

holder. Press Read. Start collecting time course (kinetic) data.<br />

Note:During the measurement the Zero and Read keys change to Mark<br />

and Stop.<br />

• Select Mark to mark the next data point collected. This mark is<br />

not used by the instrument, but is available for the user and<br />

may indicate a significant event, such as the addition of a<br />

sample or other reagent. The mark is also shown in the table.<br />

• Select Stop to end the sample readings.<br />
