Werke aus Mozarts Umfeld Works from the time of Mozart Œuvres du temps de Mozart Antonín Vranický kam, nach erstem Violinunterricht bei seinem Bruder Pavel, 1785 nach Wien und wurde Schüler Haydns, Mozarts und Albrechtsbergers. Er trat 1790 als Kapellmeister und Komponist in die Dienste des Fürsten Lobkowicz und wurde nach dessen fester Übersiedelung nach Wien wie sein Bruder zu einer der zentralen Figuren im Musikleben der Stadt. Er war Vertrauter Haydns und ein guter Freund Beethovens sowie Webers. Als angesehener Violinist, Komponist und Lehrer gehörte er zu den Begründern der Wiener Geigerschule. Besonders seine Violinkonzerte, aber auch seine Kammermusik spannen den Bogen von der Klassik zur Romantik und tragen damit sowohl das Erbe Haydns als auch das Mozarts weiter. After taking violin lessons from his brother Pavel, Antonín Vranický moved to Vienna in 1785 and became a pupil of Haydn, Mozart, and Albrechtsberger. In 1790 he was appointed conductor and composer to Prince Lobkowicz. When the prince settled permanently in Vienna, Vranický, like his brother, became a central figure in the city’s musical life. He was a bosom companion of Haydn and a good friend of Beethoven and Weber. A highly regarded violinist, composer, and teacher, he helped to establish the Viennese school of violin playing. His chamber music and especially his violin concertos bridge the classical and romantic periods, thereby maintaining the legacy of both Haydn and Mozart. Après avoir appris le violon auprès de son frère Pavel, Antonín Vranický se rendit en 1785 à Vienne et devint l’élève de Haydn, Mozart et Albrechtsberger. En 1790, il entra au service du Prince Lobkowicz en tant que maître de chapelle et compositeur, et, après s’être installé définitivement à Vienne, y devint, tout comme son frère, l’un des personnages centraux de la vie musicale de cette ville. C’était un confident de Haydn et un excellent ami de Beethoven et de Weber. Violoniste en vue, compositeur et professeur, il fait partie des fondateurs de l’école viennoise du violon. Ses concertos pour violon et ses œuvres de musique de chambre jettent un pont entre la période classique et la période romantique, et transmettent de ce fait l’héritage tant de Haydn que de Mozart. 107
