Mit Mitridate gelang dem 14jährigen Mozart auf Anhieb der Durchbruch in Mailand. <strong>Die</strong> Uraufführung<br />
mit den üblichen, nach jedem Akt eingeschobenen Balletten dauerte etwa sechs Stunden.<br />
<strong>Die</strong> vorliegende Ausgabe dieser Oper bietet erstmals bisher unvollständig überlieferte Stücke. Sie<br />
enthält außerdem eine bis dahin unbekannte Marcia und bietet für eine Reihe von Arien ein reicheres<br />
orchestrales »Gewand«.<br />
Mitridate brought about Mozart’s immediate breakthrough in Milan at the age of 14. The première,<br />
including the customary ballets interpolated between the acts, lasted some six hours. Our edition<br />
is the first to include previously unknown or partially lost pieces and a richer orchestral “garb” for<br />
several of the arias. Additional source material led to the discovery of a previously unknown Marcia<br />
included in the NMA score.<br />
Mitridate permit au jeune Mozart, âgé de 14 ans, une percée immédiate à Milan. La première représentation<br />
de cet opéra dura environ 6 heures, avec les ballets insérés, selon la tradition, entre chaque<br />
acte. L’édition reprend pour la première fois des morceaux jusqu’alors totalement ou partiellement<br />
inconnus, et une série d’airs comporte un « costume » orchestral plus riche. De nouvelles sources<br />
ont permis de découvrir une Marcia inconnue jusqu’alors, qui a été ajoutée à la Nouvelle Edition<br />
Mozart.<br />
