A copy that isnot “Transpar<strong>en</strong>t” is called “Opaque”.Examples of suitable formats for Transpar<strong>en</strong>t copies include plainASCII without markup, Texinfo input format, L A <strong>TEX</strong> input format,SGML or XML using a publicly available DTD, and standard-conformingsimple HTML, PostScript or PDF designed for human modification.Examples of transpar<strong>en</strong>t image formats include PNG, XCF and JPG.Opaque formats include proprietary formats that can be read and editedonly by proprietary word processors, SGML or XML for which the DTDand/or processing tools are not g<strong>en</strong>erally available, and the machineg<strong>en</strong>eratedHTML, PostScript or PDF produced by some word processorsfor output purposes only.The “Title Page” means, for a printed book, the title page itself, plussuch following pages as are needed to hold, legibly, the material thisLic<strong>en</strong>se requires to appear in the title page.
