30 RAPPORT ANNUEL <strong>2015</strong> | AMT | aUTOBUS : ON OUVRE La VOIE SRB PIE-IX Le coup d’envoi du projet est donné. Traversant l’île du sud au nord, et reliant Montréal à l’est de Laval, le boulevard Pie-IX est l’une des artères les plus achalandées de Montréal, empruntée chaque jour par près de 60 000 automobilistes à la hauteur du pont Pie‐IX et 40 000 usagers des transports collectifs. Cet axe de circulation majeur doit être impérativement desservi par un service de transport collectif structurant et intégré. Le service rapide par bus (SRB) prévu sur le boulevard Pie-IX répond à ce besoin. Véritable corridor d’autobus circulant en site propre, il est conçu pour tenir compte de tous les besoins des usagers : sécuritaire, rapide, confortable, accessible, avec une fréquence comparable au métro. Intermodal, il prévoit une connexion avec la ligne de trains de banlieue Mascouche et la ligne verte du métro. Une structure de gouvernance complexe Le SRB Pie-IX est un projet conjoint de l’AMT, de la Ville de Montréal et du ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ), réalisé en étroite collaboration avec les partenaires municipaux et les transporteurs concernés. Ce projet d’envergure a grandement évolué depuis 2010. Il est maintenant défini comme un projet intégré de reconstruction et de requalification du boulevard Pie-IX et comprend trois volets : • Transports collectifs : mise en place de voies réservées bidirectionnelles permanentes et construction des stations • Infrastructures municipales : réfection des conduites d’eau potable et d'égouts, et reconstruction de la chaussée • Aménagement du domaine public : élargissement des trottoirs ou création d'un large terre-plein central pour améliorer la qualité de vie des riverains, ajout de centaines d’arbres et remplacement du mobilier urbain LE PROJET, en bref • 11 km de voies réservées dans l’axe Pie-IX entre le boulevard Saint-Martin et l’avenue Pierre-De Coubertin, soit 9 km à Montréal et 2 km à Laval • 17 stations (2 à Laval et 15 à Montréal) • 1 stationnement incitatif à Laval (750 places) • Gain de temps estimé : 10 minutes entre le boulevard Henri-Bourassa et l’avenue Pierre-De Coubertin (station de métro Pie-IX) • Achalandage quotidien : - actuel : 40 000 déplacements - potentiel : 70 000 déplacements
