it is explained in detail about the overview of Pulp and
Paper Industry includes energy-efficient, low carbon, and
environmental management. These guidelines have been
prepared to support the high competitiveness and
environmentally sound of pulp and paper industry.
1.2 Contribution of GHG Emission in Indonesia
In Indonesia, the sources of GHG emission are
classified into several activities, namely from forestry and
land use, energy sector, industrial sector, agriculture and
urban waste, and farm. The data in Table 1.1 shows that
the largest emitters of greenhouse gases generated from
forestry and land use was 46%, while the industrial sector
occupied on the 4 th rank of 2.42% (Table 1.1).
