Venturi Scrubber: The liquid that is injected into the

Cyclone Scrubber: With this tool until the liquid is

5.3.2.2 Separation of Gas Pollutants
A. Packed Tower Scrubber
Packed tower scrubber consists of a cylindrical tank
filled with filler material that serves as a distribution medium
flow by providing a large surface area for contacts both the
liquid and gas phases. The flow of gas enters from the
bottom of the tank to flow upward. While the absorbent
liquid entering from the top of the tank and flows downward
go to clean gas to flow over the tank, while absorbing liquid
that binds the contaminants flowing into the bottom of the
tank. Filler material frequently used is ceramic, plastic or
rock shaped like a ring or a ball. Energy requirement in
pulp mill scrubber usage ranges from 20-40 kWh/ton pulp
(Cici, 1988).
