3.3 Application Washing Technologies Using Both On The
Displacement Method And Bleaching Brownstock
Pulp washing technology works use a lot of
technologies that work with the principle of diluting the pulp
with water followed by displacement. With this process
required dilution factor of about 1-3. This is the type of
equipment such as Rotary and Diffusion vacuum washer
(atmospheric displacement).
To save energy, washing process is modified by
pressurized displacement system, which eliminating the
process of dilution. Time is faster and less water
consumption. This type of equipment is pressure diffusion
consist of twin roll press, a press wash, and wash master.
Dilution factor of approximately 0.6 to 0.9, this means
beside saving energy also saves water usage.
