2011, la mini-capesize da
118.000 dwt in costruzione
in Cina presso il cantiere
New Times.
Se poi il gruppo Carboflotta
della famiglia Telesio,
shipmanager delle
quattro navi di LNG Shipping,
controllata da ENI,
e titolare di una flotta
composta da altrettante
gasiere di proprietà e da
due tanker, è ancora indecisa
su come sostituire
una di queste, la mega
petroliera da 150.000 dwt
Eco Africa (acquisita anni
fa insieme alla gemella
Eco Europa, tutt’ora in
servizio, proprio da ENI),
incidentata l’anno scorso,
altri armatori cargo genovesi
si sono recentemente
distinti sul mercato.
SMTV, compagnia facente
capo a Giuseppe
dopo aver visto a giugno entrare in esercizio San Francesco,
seconda delle due tanker da 2.500 dwt costruite
al cantiere genovese San Giorgio del Porto di Genova, a
gennaio ha preso in consegna la asphalt tanker da 9.050
Augusto Ascheri (Energy Coal)
dwt San Lorenzo dal
cantiere Kraljevica; lo
stabilimento croato consegnerà
un’altra gemella
l’anno prossimo alla
compagnia licenziataria
dei servizi di bunkeraggio
nei porti di Genova,
Savona e La Spezia e
facente capo alle famiglie
Parodi e Baj.
E anche per Petrolifera
Tankers, compagnia
con sede a Genova e
facente parte del gruppo
turco Furtrans, il
2009 è stato un anno da
ricordare, con la consegna
e il passaggio alla
bandiera italiana delle
tre cisterne significativamente
battezzate con
i nomi di alcuni quartieri
genovesi (FT Sturla, FT
Nervi e FT Albaro).
L’armamento genovese
dedito al trasporto di
merci sembra dunque
2011 from Chinese yard New Times.
The Telesio family owners of Carboflotta which
manages four vessels for ENI and owns gas carriers
and two tankers is considering the substitution
of one tanker, the 150,000 ton Eco Africa which was
damaged last year.
SMTV, a company owned by Giuseppe Messina and
his sons Marco and Mauro recently purchased for imminent
delivery a 7,150 ton bitumen carrier which was
being built at the Turkish yard Gisan Shipyard. The
vessel will join the two small tankers Niker and Tigullio
already in fleet.
Petrolmar has taken delivery of San Franits its second
new 2,500 ton bitumen carrier built by the Genoa
yard San Giorgio and following the San Francesco
delivered last June. These vessels follow delivery in
January of the 9.050 ton asphalt tanker San Lorenzo
built at the Croatian yard Kraljevica to be followed
by another vessel next year. Petrolmar owned by the
Parodi and Baj families supplies bunker services in
the ports of Genoa, Savona and La Spezia.
Genoa based Petrolifera Tankers part of the Turkish
Group Furtrans also recorded a notable 2009 with
delivery under Italian flag of three tankers named FT
Sturla, FT Nervi and FT Albaro.
Genoa shipping companies dedicated to freight
transport would appear to have weathered the crisis
well with the exception of Cooperativa Giulietti and
Marittima Fluviale.
Passenger and vehicle carriers are also surviving
the crisis.
Grandi Navi Veloci is a bidder in the privatisation of
Tirrenia and as a result of breakdowns of two vessels
chartered from Grimaldi Holding, Audacia e Tenacia
has replaced fleet by chartering the ro-pax Forza just
delivered by Nuovi Cantieri Apuania to Aldo Grimaldi
now completely out of Grandi Navi Veloci and the ferry
Zeus Palace from Grimaldi Naples for the Genoa/
Naples line. Grandi Navi Veloci has also increased its
sales net work with a code sharing agreement with
Corsica Sardinia Ferries. Grandi Navi Veloci general
manager Ariodante Valeri commented that “our future
projects include a terminal dedicated to Northern Sardinia
probably at Golfo Aranci and the start up of a
new line from the South of France. Departures from
Sete have been put off until Spring 2011 and we could
well run this line together with Corsica Ferries”.
Strada Blu another Corsica Ferries company is not
part of the agreement because its departures for Sicily
are in competition. In less than a year Strada Blu
