“Vola” il fatturato
di Costa Crociere
degli Azionisti
della società italiana Costa
L’Assemblea
Crociere S.p.A., di cui fanno
parte i marchi Costa Crociere, AIDA
Cruises e Iberocruceros, riunitasi in
sessione ordinaria, ha approvato il
bilancio consolidato relativo all’esercizio
2009 (dal 1 dicembre 2008 al 30
novembre 2009), che ha confermato
risultati positivi e un ulteriore rafforzamento
della crescita del gruppo,
che è leader in Europa nel segmento
turistico delle crociere e che è anche
la società turistica più grande in Italia.
Il fatturato consolidato è salito a
2.570.549 migliaia di euro (+9%),
mentre gli Ospiti totali sono stati
1.821.810 (+11,5%). Sono cresciuti
anche gli Ospiti/giorno, arrivati a
quota 14.504.998 (+14,5%). Il tasso
di occupazione è stato del 106%.

del numero degli ospiti totali
sono risultati decisamente positivi in
un anno, il 2009, caratterizzato da
una globale crisi dei mercati e dei

percentuale dei nostri Ospiti totali è
infatti in linea con quella dell’intero
mercato delle crociere in Europa.

sfavorevole, abbiamo continuato ad
investire, puntando sulla forza della
marca, offrendo prezzi ancora più
accessibili ma mantenendo eccellente
la nostra qualità di prodotto,
senza rinunciare allo sviluppo delle
nuove destinazioni e all’espansione

The AGM of Costa Crociere S.p.A. an Italian cruiseholiday
ship company trading under the brands of
Costa Crociere, AIDA Cruises and Iberocruceros approved
the financial statements for the year to 30 November
2009. Costa Crociere Spa is European leader
in cruise and Italy’s largest tourism group. Consolidated
turnover increased by 9% to euros 2.570.549.00.
Passenger numbers were up 11.5% to 1.821.810. Passenger/days
amounted to 14.504.998, an increase of
14,5%. Occupation achieved 106%.
Pier Luigi Foschi Group president and managing
director commented that “the growth in sales and
numbers of passengers was decidedly positive in a
year, 2009, of global crisis and falling consumption.
These results increase the Group’s leadership in Europe.
Our passenger growth is in line with the trend
in Europe.
Despite the unfavourable economic situation we
have continued to invest in our brands with even
more affordable prices yet maintaining the excellence
of our product and developing new destinations and
expanding internationally. Our customers have rewarded
our courageous strategy. Three new builds entered
service in 2009, two with Costa and one with AIDA
as part of our development plan through 2012.”
As of March 2010 there were 25 vessels in the Group
fleet of which 15 in Costa Crociere, 7 in AIDA and 3
in Iberocruceros. These include the vessels of Costa
Deliziosa from January and AIDAblu from February.
The 2009 results confirm the Group’s number one
