In Deutschland wurden Anfang 2000 die
ersten Bioprodukte mit dem
einheitlichen Öko-Prüfzeichen
ausgelobt.
6.3.4. Staatliche Unterstützung
State Support
In allen Ländern der EU werden
Ökobetriebe im Rahmen der EG-
Verordnung 2078/92 "für
umweltgerechte und den natürlichen
Lebensraum schützende
Produktionsverfahren" gefördert. Diese
Förderung wird im Rahmen der Agenda
2000 fortgesetzt werden. Auch in den
EFTA-Ländern und in manchen Ländern
Mittel- und Osteuropas werden derartige
Zuschüsse gewährt. Diese finanzielle
Unterstützung der Landwirte ist neben
dem starken Marktwachstum ein
wichtiger Grund für die Zunahme der
Biobetriebe in Europa.
Weil erkannt wurde, dass die
einzelbetriebliche Förderung als Anreiz
zur Umstellung teilweise nicht ausreicht
und schon gar nicht den
Umstellungsprozess langfristig zu
sichern vermag, haben manche Staaten
Mitte der neunziger Jahre Aktionspläne
zur Förderung des ökologischen
Landbaus aufgelegt. Im Rahmen dieser
Programme wird der ökologische
Landbau z.B. bei Vermarktung,
Beratung und Verbraucherinformation
unterstützt (Dänemark, Schweden,
Niederlande, manche deutschen
Bundesländer).
Since January 2000 the first products
with the new national organic label
can be found in Germany.
In all EU-countries farmers are
receiving support under the agrienvironment
programmes of EUregulation
2078/92. This support will
be continued under Agenda 2000. In
the EFTA countries and some
countries of Central / Eastern Europe
such support is granted, too. These
subsidies are - apart from strong
market growth - an important factor
for the increase of the organic land
area in Europe.
It has been found that subsidising
individual farmers is not a sufficient
incentive for conversion and that
subsidies can not guarantee the
maintenance of organic farming
methods in the long run. Therefore
some European governments have
developed action programs in order
to promote organic agriculture. As
part of these action plans, marketing
of organic products, advisory service
and consumer information is
supported (Denmark, Sweden,
Netherlands, some of the German
federal states).
