The absorption around 2380 cm -1 due to N-H symmetric stretching<br />

vibration is absent in Pure KDP crystals. Similarly, the absorptions around<br />

1715 cm -1 due to C=O stretching is not present in pure KDP crystals. These<br />

two assignments are exclusively related to presence of amino acids in KDP<br />

crystals. While, the absorptions around 1600 cm -1 , 1350 cm -1 , 1100 cm -1 , 975<br />

cm -1 and 530 cm -1 are due to O=P-OH symmetric stretching, P=O, O-P-OH<br />

symmetric stretching, O=P-OH bending and P-OH deformation vibrations.<br />
