Suggestions for Future Work<br />

The future work in continuation to the present work may be pursued as<br />

follows:<br />

1. It will be interesting to measure different non-linear parameters for<br />

amino acids doped KDP crystals, such as Birefringence, damage<br />

threshold, NLO susceptibility coefficient, Non-linear index of refraction,<br />

effective Non-linear coefficient and optical homogeneity. This study is<br />

expected to give complete picture of utility of amino acids doped KDP<br />

crystals in devices.<br />

2. It is also required to study in future other parameters such as, beam<br />

walk off, phase matching conditions, angular acceptance width,<br />

coherence length and conversion efficiency for amino acids doped<br />

KDP crystals.<br />

3. It is also interesting to study the higher order of optical susceptibility by<br />

techniques like Z-scan for amino acids doped KDP crystals.<br />

4. It will be interesting to carry out further characterization studies on<br />

higher order of amino acids doping concentrations in KDP to find of the<br />

optimum the limit of doping.<br />

5. A single crystal XRD study can also be conducted in future to find out<br />

the exact position of dopant molecules in KDP lattice and their<br />

interaction with KDP molecules in lattice.<br />
