CSkills (Construction Skills) NVQ Level 2 Diploma Trowel Occupations<br />
What will I study?<br />
This qualifi cation is based solely on site in your chosen trade area. You will produce and NVQ<br />
portfolio based on the work you complete whilst in employment. Some of the units that you<br />
will complete are:<br />
Move and handle resources » Maintain Slate and Tile Roofi ng » Lay Domestic Drainage<br />
There are 7 units in total, Some of the above are mandatory units and others are optional.<br />
More information will be available at enrolment. You will be regularly visited on site by a<br />
College assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence.<br />
Moving on<br />
All successful students may have the opportunity to progress onto NVQ level 3 Brickwork<br />
through the work based evidence route or their diploma level 3. Employment opportunities<br />
could include an apprenticeship in your chosen trade area.<br />

There are 10 units in total, Some of the above are mandatory units and others are optional.<br />

CSkills (Construction Skills) Diploma Level 1 in Carpentry and Joinery<br />
What will I study?<br />
This is a practical and theory based course which consists of you working through a number of<br />
work based units. Some of these units are:<br />
Know how to carry out safe working practices in construction » Information, quantities and<br />
communicating with others » Know how to produce basic woodworking joints »Know how to<br />
prepare and use carpentry and joinery portable power tools<br />
There are 7 units in total to complete which includes an external test at the end of the course.<br />
At the end of this qualifi cation you will have a good degree of knowledge on<br />
Wood Occupations .<br />
Moving on<br />
All successful students may have the opportunity to progress onto the Diploma in wood<br />
occupations level 2 or an NVQ level 2 through the work based evidence route. Employment<br />
opportunities could include an apprenticeship in your chosen trade area.<br />
