What will I study?<br />
The BTEC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a qualification designed to provide you with<br />
a broad understanding of working in the Travel and Tourism sector. It looks at both incoming<br />
tourism and those who wish to travel to overseas destinations. The course requires you to<br />
design and evaluate marketing strategies, explore customer service, and gain an in depth<br />
knowledge of both UK and European holiday destinations. You will also be required to plan<br />
class visits to local tourism areas and prepare yourselves for employment within the sector.<br />
Moving on<br />
This course can lead to further study on the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Travel & Tourism<br />
or alternatively could lead to a range of career opportunities in the travel & tourism industry<br />
including employment in Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Tourism Offices and Hotels.<br />

The BTEC Extended National Diploma in Travel and Tourism is designed to prepare you for<br />

destinations » Roles of Holiday Representatives » Special interest tourism » Working<br />

Opportunities also exist in gaining work experience and having residential placements. The<br />
