What will I study?
The course is designed to broaden your understanding and knowledge of business and to
develop important personal, academic and business skills. This level 3 programme comprises
of 6 units, delivered over one year. It will cover the fundamental business disciplines as well
as some specialised areas to further enhance the student’s knowledge, for example: Business
Start Up and Web Page Design. As the programme has an enterprise emphasis, the students
will be expected to engage in a dynamic enterprise experience, whereby they will be given
opportunities to manage their own business.
The successful programme attracts UCAS points making university access a natural
progression, As a well established, nationally recognised qualifi cation it is also recognised by
employers, for those seeking work after completion. The programme is the equivalent of 1 A
level,In addition to the main course, you may be expected to complete a Level 2 qualifi cation
in Employability Skills or in Enterprise. This supports the main programme of study, helping
students develop transferable skills such as presentation skills, business acumen and
planning skills.
