Qualifi cation<br />
Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 and Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 Plumbing<br />
What will I study?<br />
As an Apprentice in Plumbing you will start by working under close supervision of a qualifi ed<br />
plumber. You could be working on domestic, commercial or industrial systems. Aspects of<br />
the job will include installing systems, bending and soldering pipe work. Whilst on site you<br />
will build a portfolio of work based evidence as part of the NVQ assessment process. You will<br />
attend College for one day a week to learn about legal and technical aspects of plumbing and<br />
gain knowledge towards your Technical Certifi cate as well as working towards completion of<br />
your Function Skills in Maths and English.<br />
Moving on<br />
Having completed your Apprenticeship at Level 2 you can now move on to the Advanced<br />
Apprenticeship which can include the ACS gas qualifi cation. Further career opportunities<br />
include Site Manager, Project Management and Quantity Surveying.<br />
