Configuration settings of KVM switches
Deleting a KVM switch from the G&D system
If the system is not able to detect a KVM switch that has been integrated into the
system, the system defines the device as being switched off.
Therefore, delete the list entry of the KVM switch that you want to permanently
remove from the system.
NOTE: Only switched-off KVM switches can be deleted.
How to delete a switched off or disconnected KVM switch:
1. Click on KVM switches > [All switches] in the tree view.
2. Right-click the KVM switch you want to delete and click the Delete entry in the
context menu.
3. Confirm the security request by clicking Yes or cancel the process by clicking No.
Changing the hotkey
The hotkey is used to switch to a computer or to call the setup mode:
If both hotkey and a select key are pressed at the same time, the respective computer
is accessed.
The setup mode is started by pressing the hotkey and the setup key at the same time.
NOTE: The hotkey Ctrl is preset in the default settings.
The number of “free” key combinations is possibly narrowed if many application
programs with hotkeys are operated on one computer or if different G&D devices
are used in one cascade.
In such a case, a set of key combinations that does not interfere with other programs
or cascaded G&D devices can be used by changing the hotkeys.
NOTE: Select your desired key or key combination from the keys Ctrl, Alt, Alt Gr,
Win or Shift.
