2 KVM Switches
The KVM switches entry in the tree directory of the web application enables you to
configure different settings of the KVM switch and to view the status information of
the device.
NOTE: The chapter Overview of the monitoring values on page 63 ff. explains the different
information.
Basic configuration of KVM switches
Renaming a KVM switch
How to rename a KVM switch:
1. Click on KVM Switches > [All switches] in the tree view.
2. Right-click the KVM switch to be edited. Now, click on the Configuration entry in
the context menu.
3. Use the Name field to enter the new KVM switch name.
4. Click OK to save your settings.
Changing the comment of a KVM switch
The list field of the web application does not only display the KVM switch name but
also the entered comment.
ADVICE: Use the comment to note the location of the KVM switch, for example.
How to change the comment of a KVM switch:
1. Click on KVM Switches > [All switches] in the tree view.
2. Right-click the KVM switch to be edited. Now, click on the Configuration entry in
the context menu.
3. Use the Comment field to enter any comment.
4. Click OK to save your settings.
