Aquesta obra té el seu origen en un d’aquests dibuixos fets amb
el llapis mentre telefones. Buscava un tema que recordés el
mar, i aquest dibuix me’l va evocar. El més difícil fou fer-lo en
ceràmica. Fou projectat i realitzat en rajoles de 15 x 15 cm, i
vaig aplicar-hi esmalts de 1.020º C. Els estudis de color no
foren fàcils. Per a cadascun havia de fer proves i evitar retocs.

This work has its origin in one of those drawings done with
pencil while telephoning. I was looking for a theme to bring to
mind the sea, and this drawing evoked it in me. The most difficult
was to make it in ceramic. It was projected and made in
tiles of 15 x 15 cm, and I applied enamels of 1.020º C. The
colour studies were not easy. For each one I had to do tests and
avoid retouching them.
