La idea del rector era fer un Crist Majestat que representés el
triomf i el domini sobre la Creu, no del dolor i sí el gran sacerdot.
És situat dins una creu de ferro, realitzada per l’arquitecte
Masramon. A la fotografia es pot veure la intencionalitat espiritual
de plasmar el sacerdot amb una estola creuada en forma
d’ics. Tant a la cara com al vestit, la policromia és feta amb foc;
a la cara, la barba, les celles i el cabell, que són parts que sobresurten,
i també el vestit, ferros roents empremtats i línies de
pirogravat. Queda suspès en l’aire, no pesa, és lleuger.
Desapareixen els ulls, els dits, tots els petits accidents que no
calen a la idea del sacerdot triomfant. Aquesta fou la intenció:
buscar el mínim per dir el màxim.
The idea of the rector was to make a Christ Majesty which represented
the triumph and domination over the cross, not the pain,
but yet the great priest. It is situated in an iron cross made by the
architect Masramon. In the photograph one can see the spiritual
intention of forming the priest with a stole crossed in the form of
‘x’ es. The face as much as the clothing, the polychrome is made
with fire; on the face, the beard, the eyebrows and the hair, which
are parts which stand out, and also the clothing, imprinted redhot
irons and lines of pyrography. It stays suspended in the air,
weightless, light. The eyes disappear, the fingers, all the small
accidents which are not necessary to the idea of a triumphant
priest. This was the intention: look for simplification.
