Volíem fer un balcó, la forma del qual venia donada per la
situació geogràfica, la costa, en un punt on, per un costat, hi ha
el port romà, i per l’altre la vista de les cales. Aquest balcó volia
ser un respir en la visita a les ruïnes d’Empúries. Per unes escales
de cargol situades al costat esquerre es podria baixar a la
platja, i en aquesta banda es crearia un aixopluc amb ombra.
El terra del mirador s’havia de cobrir amb un mosaic. Hi havia
d’haver dos punts de referència: un a l’entrada, indicador del
lloc, i l’altre, simplement recordant els finançadors de l’obra,
les Diputacions de Girona i Barcelona. A part d’això, un monòlit
commemoratiu, uns relleus laterals i uns bancs.

We wanted to make a balcony, the shape of which was a given
because of the geographical situation, the coast, on a point
where, at one side, there is the Roman port, and on the other
the view of the little inlets. This balcony was planned to be a resting
place on the visit to the ruins of Empuries. By some spiral
steps situated on the left side one could go down to the beach and
on this side a refuge with shade would be created. The ground
had to be covered with mosaic. There was to have been 2 points
of reference: one at the entrance, indicating the place, and the
other, simply recording the financiers of the work, the local
governments of Girona and Barcelona. Apart from this, a commemorative
monolith, some lateral reliefs and some benches.
