Els claretians em van demanar una figura del Pare Claret per
col·locar-la en el seu museu. La intenció va ser fer-lo com un
missioner, tot valorant la seva paraula i els seus escrits. Per
això, havia de conèixer el personatge i el lloc del museu. Quan
vaig entrar en el tema em va semblar adient representar-lo assegut
comunicant-se amb els visitants. El Pare Claret es va donar,
es va buidar. Les mans representen un punt important en aquesta
figura. Són el diàleg amb l’espectador. Tota la imatge és
plena de talls, l’interior traspua a l’exterior i a l’inrevés. És la
interrelació de tot el seu món cap a tots.
Està fet en bronze, i ell i el seu entorn donen una càlida acollida
al visitant.

The Claretians asked me for a figure of the Father Claret to put
up in their museum. The intention was to make it like a missionary,
making the most of his words and his writings. For this, I
had to know the person and the place in the museum. When I
began the subject it seemed to me appropriate to represent him
sitting down communicating with his visitors. Father Claret
gave, everything. The hands represent an important point for
this figure. They are the dialogue with the spectator. The whole
image is full of cuts, the interior exudes through to the exterior
and in reverse. It is the inter-relation action of his whole world
with everyone.
