Vitrall ciment.
Molt sovint, en treballar el vitrall, tant sols es té en compte la
part interior, on el vidre de color és el gran protagonista, i s’oblida
la part exterior, on el color no juga tant. La veritat, però,
és que són dos aspectes diferents dels vitralls, i tots dos han de
tenir el seu interès. En aquest cas, la part exterior és valorada
per un relleu important. Al mateix temps, aquest nervi és el
punt per on es divideixen les peces per facilitar-ne la manipulació
i el muntatge. A l’interior calia no enfosquir les obertures
per mitjà del color, i per aquest motiu hi ha una gran abundància
de vidre blanc o translúcid, que també fa destacar els colors
del seu costat. La foscor del ciment valora els colors que hi ha
a dins, i a l’inrevés, a l’exterior el vidre es converteix en fosc
que enriqueix el clar del ciment.
Very often, when working on a stained glass window, only the
inside is taken into consideration, where the glass of colour is

colour is not so important. The truth though is that they are two
different aspects of stained glass windows, and both have to
have interest. In this case, the exterior is made the most of by
an important relief. At the same time, this nerve is the point
where the pieces divide to facilitate the manipulation and
mounting. On the inside, it was necessary not to darken the
openings by means of colour and for this reason there is a great
abundance of clear glass, which also makes the colours next to
them stand out. The darkness of the concrete brings out the
colours which there are inside, and on the other hand, on the
outside the glass is converted into dark which enriches the clarity
of the concrete.
