d’1,5 m de gruix. Aquest volum està dedicat a les gestes del
general en la Guerra de Successió. L’altra porta, de mides
iguals, té els muntants mirant enlaire, aixecats formant dos
braços com a símbol de la dedicació de Sant Hilari Sacalm al
seu fill predilecte amb uns relleus relatius a la tasca de pagès i
a les Guilleries en un temps més vinculat a les incursions franceses.
Aquestes dues portes són una al costat de l’altra, convergent,
i en la part alta hi ha una biga de ciment d’on penja un cub
de vidre amb un cap de bronze en el seu interior que evoca la
gàbia on va quedar el seu cap durant dotze anys per a escarment
dels rebels catalans, tal com ho va voler Felip V.
El conjunt està situat damunt d’un podi esglaonat per aixecarlo
i, a la base, un cinturó d’aigua voreja el monument. El material
és ciment tenyit, i els relleus encofrats.

inside it which evokes the cage where his head was kept for 12
years to scare the Catalan rebels, as they were considered, by
Felip V.
The entity is situated on a stepped podium for lifting it up, at
the base, a belt of water surrounds the monument. The material
is dyed concrete and the reliefs timbered.
