Amb motiu de preparar una important exposició al Palau
Robert de Barcelona sobre els 50 anys de la meva tasca d’art
integrat, l’Arcadi Pla, que en tenia cura, em suggerí que seria
bo mostrar obra del moment, i se’m va ocórrer de fer un projecte
que em plauria tenir, com la portalada dels Apòstols de la
Catedral de Girona. Amb en Pere Romagós vam agafar una
escala i vam anar in situ a prendre mides. Després em vaig
informar i finalment vaig passar a projectar maquetes, fins a
aconseguir un projecte complet per mostrar. Calia pensar en tot
el conjunt: apòstols, timpà, línies generals, personalització dels
apòstols, atributs, etc., i així podem mostrar el que fou.

With the motive of preparing an important exhibition in the
Robert Palace of Barcelona about the fifty years of integrated
art, Arcadi Pla, who was in charge, suggested to me that it
would be a good idea to show work of the moment, and it occurred
to me to do a project which I would have pleasure having,
like the doorway of the Apostles of the Cathedral of Girona.
With Pere Romagós we took a ladder and we went to the place
to take measurements. Afterwards, I read up and finally I projected
the models until achieving a complete project to show. It
was necessary to think of the whole entity; apostles, timpano,
general lines, personalization of the apostles, attributes, etc.,
and so we can show what it was.
