L’Ajuntament de Girona, per mitjà d’en Carles Delclaux, em va
encomanar un tapís, i com a contrapartida em faria una exposició
a St. Nicolau per les Fires de Girona de 1999. En aquesta
exposició, entre d’altres obres, hi tenia un moble fet en marqueteria.
Tot va venir del fet que en Joan Tauleria volia que li
fes el projecte d’un moble en marqueteria per celebrar el centenari
de la seva fusteria, i jo li vaig demanar com a contrapartida
de fer-me’n un per a mi, per enquibir-hi els blocs, per als
quals no tenia un lloc concret.
Si menciono ambdues obres, el tapís i el moble, és perquè crec
que és molt bo valer-se de bons tècnics, com un bon tapisser i
un bon ebenista, que també són bons artistes. L’ajuda i l’eficàcia
de bons professionals de cara a un millor resultat en l’obra
és evident.
The town council of Girona, by means of Carles Delclaux,
asked me for a tapestry, and as an exchange they would give me
an exhibition at the St. Nicolau for the fiestas of Girona in
1999. At this exhibition, among other works, I had a piece of
furniture made of modelling. It all came out of the fact that
Joan Tauleria wanted me to do him a project of a piece of furniture
in modelling to celebrate the centenary of his carpenters
shop, and I asked in exchange that he would do one for me, to
put the blocks for which I had no specific place. If I mention
both works, the tapestry and the piece of furniture, it is because
I think that it is very good to value good techniques as a
good upholsterer and a good carpenter, who also are good
artists. The help and efficiency to achieve a better result in the
work is evident.
