Aquí hi podríem sumar les altres que han servit per arribar a
aquestes solucions. Aquestes marededéus estaven pensades per
a un oratori per al Dr. Jaume Camprodon, Bisbe de Girona. Si
bé em demanà que li estudiés aquest petit espai, la veritat és
que vaig treballar tot el conjunt. Aquesta imatge em va portar a
fer diversos estudis, i aquests dos orienten cap on vaig arribar i
com podia ser. Vaig pensar la marededéu en ceràmica o en alabastre,
i, com ja he manifestat, la ceràmica és un material prou
noble. Un altre aspecte és que en l’art de l’església és convenient
considerar el fidel com una persona madura i intel·ligent,
i una imatge és un mitjà per a la pregària. Aquesta imatge ha de
respondre al seu moment històric, com ha passat en les corresponents
als diferents estils històrics. Això és el millor que es
pot oferir.

Here we could sum up the others which have served to arrive
at these solutions. These other of Gods were thought of for an
oratory for Dr. Jaume Camprodon, Bishop of Girona. If it is
true he asked me to study this small space, the truth is that I
worked on the whole thing. This image led me to do diverse studies
and these two orientate towards where I arrived and how
it came to be. I thought of the Mother of God in ceramic or in
alabaster and as I have already shown, the ceramic is a good
enough material. Another aspect is that in the art of the church
it is necessary to consider the faithful as a mature and intelligent
person, and an image is a means towards prayer. This
image has to respond to its moment in history, as has happened
in those corresponding to different historic styles. This is the
best that one can offer.
