1965 Sant Josep.
Carmelites de Terrassa.
120 cm alt.
Bronze.
Joan Baca Pericot.
maquetes i moltes visites.
It is about building a new church, constructed by the architect
Joan Baca Pericot. We formed the architect team, the prior of
the community and the artist. It was not difficult to reach a
good understanding and we worked with enthusiasm from the
blueprints, models and many visits. As always, the physical
place which at that moment they were still building had great
importance. They wanted the figure of the Mother of God to be
attractive to give confidence to the parishioners, and so they
controlled the evolution. For the Christ and Saint Joseph,
though, we were given total confidence. I modelled the Christ
with ropes and plaster and finally bronze. The Saint Joseph was
primarily modelled in paper and plaster, and afterwards, also
turned into bronze.
