3. CBT Procedures<br />

you have checked your certificates you will be asked <strong>to</strong> sign the DL196 (NI) Stationery<br />

Request for Certificates form which will also be signed by the member of DVA staff<br />

who will arr<strong>an</strong>ge <strong>to</strong> have it returned <strong>to</strong> BSU.<br />

Payment for books of certificates c<strong>an</strong> be made by credit or debit card, cheque, postal<br />

order or a b<strong>an</strong>ker’s draft. Please do not send cash in the post. A cash payment c<strong>an</strong><br />

be accepted only at DVA Testing Headquarters, Balmoral Road, Belfast, BT12 6QL.<br />

Payment of cash will not be accepted at <strong>an</strong>y other of the DVA Testing centres.<br />

The correct telephone number <strong>to</strong> use when ordering books of CBT certificates is 028<br />

9054 1858. The line is open Monday <strong>to</strong> Friday from 9.00am until 5.00pm. If you wish<br />

<strong>to</strong> send orders you should always use the official DL196 (NI) Stationery Request form.<br />

Whilst we endeavour <strong>to</strong> process all applications as soon as possible, please be aware<br />

that five clear working days must be allowed from the date that the order is received.<br />

It is essential that you moni<strong>to</strong>r your s<strong>to</strong>ck levels <strong>an</strong>d re-order in good time. You must<br />

not conduct CBT courses if you are not in possession of the requisite numbers of<br />

CBT certificates <strong>to</strong> issue <strong>to</strong> your pupils.<br />

If DVA become aware that <strong>an</strong> AMI is conducting CBT courses <strong>an</strong>d not issuing<br />

certificates upon completion, we will consider removing your CBT authority. CBT<br />

certificates are sold <strong>to</strong> AMIs for their exclusive use only <strong>an</strong>d under no circumst<strong>an</strong>ces<br />

c<strong>an</strong> one AMI use certificates purchased by <strong>an</strong>other.<br />

‘Refer <strong>to</strong> Drawer’ cheques<br />

The following action will be adopted in all cases where we receive notification from<br />

Fin<strong>an</strong>ce Section that a cheque has been returned marked ‘refer <strong>to</strong> drawer’:<br />

• We will write <strong>to</strong> the AMI requesting immediate payment of the outst<strong>an</strong>ding<br />

amount by credit or debit card, postal order or b<strong>an</strong>ker’s draft. No further<br />

applications will be considered until the matter is sorted.<br />

• For <strong>an</strong>y future orders where payment is made by cheque, the DL196 (NI) books<br />

will not be issued until 10 working days after receipt, in order in ensure that the<br />

cheque has cleared.
