VIII Bushfire The incidence of bushfire varies greatly from year to year. In 2007–2008, DECC estate in the FA regions experienced a decrease in the total amount of land burnt by wildfire (46 131 ha compared with 149 728 ha in 2006–2007). The total area of native forest within State Forests affected by bushfire decreased from 9969 ha in 2006–2007 down to 5081 ha in 2007–2008.
